Simply Coffee

Simply Coffee is a boutique ‘cellar-door’ for coffee and with their Diedrich IR12 roaster at the front of the shop and every coffee-related accessory that the home consumer could ask for, this is coffee heaven in Adelaide.

Peter Pavlou and his wife Lucy set up Simply Coffee to “give pure old fashioned service”  and you will almost always find them in the store to greet you with a welcoming smile.

Peter roasts in small batches 4 days a week and always during trading hours. “This always creates a lot of interest and customers are invited to watch the process, from the raw beans through to purchasing the finished product”. Peter also enjoys having a bit of fun with his customers blending roasts from different regions and tasting on the spot. Have in or take-away, single origin or custom blends, whole bean or pre-ground – it is simply a coffee menu.

Despite the growing number of ‘regulars’ Peter maintains that he knows all their names and what they want – “...they don’t have to ask, it’s the corner deli feel, that’s what people crave”. “We are not interested in the wholesale side of the coffee industry, simply retail. We want to stay as a niche with our focus on freshness and quality – bigger is not necessarily better”… and his loyal customers agree.
