Voted one of Crema Magazine's Top 5 Cafes in Sydney for 2009. One of the pioneers of specialty coffee in Sydney, Toby's have been up there, but not quite top of their game for the last couple of years. However, with a couple of new baristas, and innovations like the new Mirage Idro Compresso hand lever unit [at their Chippendale store] they're definitely back! With a house espresso blend that is full-bodied and chocolatey, this is truly excellent coffee destination - highly recommended. (Nov '08)

I'm a very hard critic - the cafe has really good lattes and flat whites but there cappuccino's don't meet my standards nor do their espresso's

Great coffee, well worth going there just for the coffee. The ambience is not so great but the coffee is worth it.
